Is Rock dead..???
I am hardend ROCK fan.... All you ignorant people out there, Metal (or Metchul) is NOT ROCK. Anybody walking around with a guitar doesn't become a ROCK STAR. A POP video with guitars and drums doesn't become a ROCK VIDEO.
I'm a music addict. Like people who'll go mad if they don't have their quota of crack, i'll go mad if i don't have my 30 mins of rock everyday.Lets see why i started liking rock so much. It's the attitude,the fun , the love of music . I was into the Backstreet Boys,N'SYNC and stuff but it was Blink-182 with their punk music about a ignored generation that opened my eyes. Then the rest followed... Korn,Limp Bizkit(i know they're metal bands, don't think about arguing with me about music),Matchbox Twenty,Dave Mathews Band..........
But where are they now.....???? Korn is into Industrial Metal now...Limp Bizkit is crap ever since Wes Borland left the band...Dave Mathews..??? Where are thou...???
Now to the bands which are hitting it big now.... Plain White T-Shirts....Death Cab For Cutie...and so on.....ADULT ALTERNATIVE!!! POP PUNK....???? WTH man..???? PUNK IS PUNK...!!! ITS IN YOUR FACE MUSIC>>>>>YOU CAN"T MIX IT WITH POP!!!
Metallica is back with their highly anticipated album, Death Magent....which fails to arouse even a slightest bit of interest.... What happened to the band which made awesome albums like THE BLACK ALBUM,LOAD,RELOAD...a list goes on.... Now Alice In Chains And Stone Temple Pilots are gonna be back to arouse the GRUNGE genre... After all PEARL JAM with their last album showcased how their back to grunge sound is...its no better than the kazillion mainstream bands coming up.....
So question is.... IS ROCK DEAD....???? Its seems like so.... New bands taking the poppy route and old ones are just letting their Labels take charge of their creative control.....Its time to stick it to the man!!!!!
Look at it , even mainstream Hindi Movies are taking a leaf out of rock!!!! and i'm someone who looks down on them and i think some of the new tracks based on rock is pretty good... Look at ROCK ON!!!,the songs may not be avant grade but sure are catchy.....
Even i'm seriously considering about composing dance tracks..ala The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers........hey girl....hey boy..superstar dj...here we go..

Effects of Alcohol
This is a article to show the effects of alcohol on man.
Our test subject is Vasanth. A wannabe "hepp dude" from my class.(read the class in college).
He has kindly agreed to test the power of alcohol.
Here's the first pic. After only one peg (large ) of vodka.
As you can see, the subject is feeling a funny sensation and wondering what it might be.
Next Pic shows the state after the second peg.
The subject feels like dancing (or more like rolling in this case).Studies have shown that people tend to embarrass themselves by attempting to do things which they would otherwise couldn't/wouldn't do. Like dancing,singing, acting really stupid etc.. you get the dirft...
Sadly there's just one last stage from this study since we ran out of booze.
This next picture is after the third peg of vodka.
After the third peg, our subject discovers that he likes to talk gibberish non-stop and repeating it no matter how boring it gets.He also discovers that he likes to swing his head sideways or for that matter any kind of movement is welcome.This is only the starting step to achieve highness. Thus this concludes our study and we shall continue sometime later with "Advance Effects of Alcohol"

Stuck in traffic!!
Imagine the fustration,anywhere you go in Chennai around 7 pm,this is gonna be your state - stuck in traffic! First it was the shortage of fuel crisis and now this. Now when Nano hits the roads this is only gonna get worse. Solution? Introduce AC Volvo buses on all routes like in Bangalore to encourage people to take more public transport. Anyone listening out there?

North Vs South
North Vs South.
This has always been the question i've been involved with ever since it moved to Chennai 11 years ago. Whom do i side with.?? The north indians..?? read Marwadis,Gujjus,Pujabis and u you know the like....or the South Indians... (the whole of the part of the penensula).
The problem.. North Indians are are just too irritating with their Hindi and their defiant attitude.. The South Indians... They're just too boring or backward or just too conservative. Staying in Chennai for around half my life I've taken a liking towards this city and its inhabitants. But that was school, a protected environment where people from different culture are encouraged to c0-exist. Now i'm in college and no one else for company other than the "enna machi" crowd. It has never occured to me look beyond Chennai or Bangalore,for this is what my world had reduced to. I've been defending this city from people who complain about it all day..all night... but i have seen the light... Chennai being a metro city is still a goddamn village compared to the mertos. Delhi in particular is huge...friggin huge... and thats how it is. Being inhabited ith people who don't take shit is good for once, since it ensures that everything functions importantly.Maybe its high we stop segregating ourselves and take pride in our country and lead it all the way.....

I'm a pretty angry guy.
I'm angry at a lot of things.
I'm angry that i'm fat.
I'm angry that i'm going bald.
I'm angry cos i don't room of my own.
I'm angry cos i'm studying comp sci which i hate.
I'm angry cos my college is stupid.
I'm angry cos i have arrears.
I'm angry that i got malaria.
I'm angry that i've wasted the last 3 years of my life.
There you go. I'm a pretty angry guy. Too much of frustration built up inside of me and i don't
know whom to direct it on. It's not my fault that i joined this stupid college of mine. As far
as i know i did get called from two other colleges. I never wanted to study Comp Sci.Man i hate
the subject,there is friggin reason why i took Biology in school and the reason is not justified by
joining this stupid course in this stupid college. But the point is , is it still right to be
angry..?? Maybe its time to leave it all behind and have a fresh start.
Maybe that will do good for me. After all anger has never done anyone any good.
I'm in my final year now, sitting on top of a huge pile of arrears. God only knows
what is wrong with me........
The Kerela Trip
The Kerela trip
This was the second event in the month of March which had taken place.
it turns out that the month of march was very much eventful and not to mention stressful.
I decided to go to Kerela along with my classmates (which suprised a lot of people including me ) partly
because i was not taking part in the Srm culturals and also i didn't feel like attending the Megadeth / Machinehead
show in Bangalore along with Manoj and Fatso (read Abhilash).

Well the trip wasn't all that bad considering that all the "cool" people opted out and the "enna machi " crowd came.
I had Vasanth (my protege) for company who insisted on showing off his brand new Nokia N73m and was trying put down
Sony Ericsson K550i (now lost). Trip started from namma Chennai Central with all of us assembling there. No comments there.
Train trip was nothing worth mentioning except that two girls from my class had their birthday celebrated on that night
and i got to have a loarge chunk of some delicious chocolate cake along with Minna.
Our hotel was in Kadavanthra and to our pleasant surprise it was a service apartment. Each apartment had around 3 rooms with three people per
room. My roommates were Vasanth and Augustine.
Day One was a trip around Ernakulam,Mattancherry,Fort Cochin,Cochin Port and Wellinton Island. Was basically a repeat of the
2001 trip of Cochin with Keith and co. except that i tried some local booze called tody or kal.
Later after the trip we went to the Chiria Beach, ,located at corner of Ernakulam (or wherever). Beach was really nice,
good view for a sunset and it was really fun until my class mates ecided that it would be fun to catch me and throw me into the sea.
After being thrown into the sea i was forced to beg.. :-(
As you can imagine that resulted in wet t-shirt,wet pants and obiviously wet undies. had to endure that for next couple of hours till we reached
the hotel and straight into the bathroom to clean up before decnt booze session (decent cos the company was the Palani gang).

Day Two was a trip around Kuramakom which was essentiallt the backwaters of Kerela. One thing that really got me was the sheer size of the
backwaters and nothing less than impressive. Company was really sad as everyone was trying to show off the most impressive pose
not to mention some looked so stupid and GAY cos they were posing topless. Good thing the girls were away in a different boat and hence
did not have endure any of this crap. The day ended with us reaching the hotel for another booze session.

Day Three started with us posing infront of IT parks to show some proff that we went for an industrial visit. This tour was called
Pre-Final Year Industrial Visit. How stupid people actually give a sh*t about this kind of crap. Later we proceeded to
Athirappilly falls . It was nice place with a waterfall which was really ferocious and some rocky terrain with a river,
something like Saringapatinam only the that chances of getting hurt was really high.

Later in the day batalling ferocious rain rains we reached Ernakulam and were guest to its marine drive and numerous shops.
Everybody bought banana chips!! how dumb.!! Anyways after that we headed to the railway station and caught out train back to Chennai.
All smiles. Vasanth,Gokul,Tamil and Bharat.
We had a couple of eunuch probels once we were near Chennai,damn those whores always asking for money. Anyways got one to
kiss Bharat only for 10 bucks!!!

The Whole Class (the boys part)The Symposium
This month was one of the stressful month of my life. Infact i suppose it was most stressful month of my life. It all started with the department symposiums. ours was called the Jet Sonic (The Hedgehog) and you can guess who our mascot was. its a miracle that we didn't get sued by Sega (the company). I was the sponsor committee head, event co-oridinator for robotics and also the head behind the Gamedrome.
Well this was my job, to go around the city and convince corporates to sponsor our symposium. and this wasn't made easy by the fact that out college had a very good reputation (sarcasam) and also because of the way the whole thing was handled,we had parallel set of people going and approaching the same corporate and bugging the daylights out of them. (namely Higginbotoms). finally after lots of begging and string pulling we managed to collect around 1.2 Lakhs. Major companies included Everonn Software. Aldea Infosystems, RMKV,Subway,Kaya Skin Clinic,Naturals,Laser Software,Emannuel Water Farm (???) lol..Good collection for a computer department..., but the only f*** up was that most of the money was held back by our dear staff cos just in case the sponsors back back asking for a refund...(what a excuse..) they even took the gift vouchers we got from Naturals,Kaya Skin Clinic and Subway..!!!! I mean how lame can you get ??? This is worse than our levels!! Even we didn't stoop so low... we were happy with the Subway vouchers..
The College
Now on to the symposium.. The symposium was a grand success but not without hiccups. Day one saw over 600 participants compared to biotechs 30...haha.. Up yours man.!!!.., but as usual money raised through registration didn't match the expected numbers. No surprise there. Day one was smooth until the chairman a****** decided to show up and lock everyone in the new av room. Thanks to which our much hyped paper presentation or Papyrus Discorso went to the dogs. It was very sportive of the judge to still sit patiently through all the bullsh*t. Anyways this one act of stupidity got everyone pissed and everyone swore not to come back the second day. Well thats what happened but it was not too bad. Around 300 turned up the next day and everyone lived happily ever after,except for the guys who set up the X-Box stand ( and actually expected people to buy the 23k console) and cancelled their check. (stupid college should have encashed while they had the chance) . Thats it can't write anymore.. enough said about the symposium.

New Years...
The new years party....thats the most happening thing on earth.... the party everyone looks forward to.... but not me.... for some reaon i felt pretty anti-social and decided to have a quiet evening... don't mistake me thinking that i didm't get invited anywhere... THAT IS NOT TRUE.. well.. just didn't feel like going anywhere...
Looking at the year 2007 go by....

Got a place of my own..
Started something new..
well thats about it.. turned 20 this year...made me realize to take life seriously now.. lets see how well it goes... Made a secret new years resolution....
got quite a tasks on the list..lets see how many i'm able to keep... but one thing is certain... I am
gonna study harder and clear my arrears and get placed..just for my satisfaction...God only know i don't wan't a 9-5 job....
Anyways... Happy New Year..!!!

The Goa Trip....
I haven't written a blog in some time....i'm too lazy to do so...well now that i've got some time on my hand let me write some....

THE GOA TRIP
Well for a change i decided to go somewhere for christmas... And Guess what..?? It Turned out to be Goa... The catch..?? Going with my parents... Well it ain't too bad.. the upsice being me not spending a single penny...the downside...no oogling at firangs... lol...
We were at Utorda..thats in South Goa.. its peaceful..calm..tranquil..no hawkers..no crowd...just the way i liked... Day one we just lazed around the beach...with some Cashew Fenni (Local booze) and tried some the exotic cuisines(read.. the shack gus will try to make a bakra out of you)
Next day was Christmas..and we got invited to Christmas Lunch by a Goanese Family.... Man These people know how to live... They are so fun and frolic...just like on tv.. And these people booze and eat meat like crazy... I mean the course had 3 types of pork,2 types of beef,1 type of prawn,1 type of chicken ,1 type od fish and some veggies which i didn't bother touching..lol...
then we're off to see the sunset.. its a beautiful scenario... check it out..
yeah... its beautiful...the night ended with again yet another feast..(ps. i hogged like pig on this trip)the next day started with visit to the beach and more lazing around... and watching firangs in their ahem..attire..lol...
Goa is all about relaxing and taking it easy... no tension no worry just enjoy maari...
lookin forward to going once again..this time probably with friends..lol..
ps: booze is dirt cheap here..
